Remo Salvadori—Monograph
2025
Remo Salvadori
Remo Salvadori (1947-2026) was one of the most significant artists on the contemporary Italian scene: his art draws on fundamental principles of anthroposophy and Goethe’s conception of nature and reality. Salvadori creates harmonious cycles in which primary elements—such as water, color, and the seven metals—interact, oscillating between elementary chemistry and complex alchemy.
This monograph, the result of a two-year research project carried out by Studio Celant and curator Antonella Soldaini, traces the artist’s life in a chronological and detailed manner.
The cover reproduces, with a refined finish achieved through metal foils and embossing, one of Remo Salvadori’s most famous and poetic works: the cups. The two editions—Italian and English—differ in the metal of the foils on the front cover: copper for the Italian edition and silver for the English edition.

The book is introduced by four critical essays and accompanied by over 600 images that illustrate and document the great artist’s exhibitions, shows, relationships, and inspirations.
Inside, the layout interweaves a detailed chronological sequence with documentary images and the many quotations that have shaped the artist’s poetics.
